If you’re planning to take a flight, you might want to check out Korean Air subsidiary, Jin Air. We say so because the company has a rather interesting offer for passengers who have nothing to do on the flight. You’re given the option of renting a 16GB PSP Go for in-flight gaming for 4,000 won (about $3.50). Six months of precise workmanship went into creating the ultimate gaming station which boasts over 2,500 grams of solid 22ct gold. The front buttons are home to 78 x 0.25 ct Flawless diamonds which total 19.5 ct. Only three units are made and each costs GBP299,995 (US$478,312).

The newer, embiggened Nintendo DSi LL (as it’s known in Tokyo Town) has been available to the kids in Japan since the beginning of the week, and Enterbrain, Inc. is reporting that Nintendo has pushed 103,524 units in its first two days. To perspectivize things, the DSi was snatched up to the tune of about 170,000 units in the same time period, while the PSPgo sold around 28,000 units. NVIDIA’s Fermi chips had been delayed, but they’re apparently far enough along for spokesperson Brian Burke to tweet this image of the new Fermi-based GeForce 100 GPU running the Unigine Heaven DX11 benchmark earlier today. That’s certainly one way to hit back at ATI’s launch of the fastest graphics card ever, the Radeon HD 5970, but we’d much rather have some hard info to work with. We’ve pinged NVIDIA, we’ll let you know if we hear anything.

With word really beginning to get around that the new GT 300 based NVIDIA cards aren’t going to be seen this year, it really gives AMD a chance to cement its HD 5000 series cards into the market. The latest HD 5000 series card to make its way into our labs is the HD 5850 and comes from HIS.

We’ve already had a look at the model before and we’ve been pretty happy with what ATI has done with the card. Today we’ll be seeing what HIS have done to the bundle and card to see if there’s anything that stands out from other models.

A couple of days ago Nikkei announced that Nintendo would make larger DSi with a bigger LCD. Last night Nintendo officially announced their DSi LL or XL in North America and Europe. It features a larger screen, 4.2” (the actual DSi has a 3.25” screen), and a larger body with some games included (brain training related).
