Acer’s Aspire 5738PG (AS5738PG) is one of the first multiouch notebooks in the market. The Windows 7 device gets a Core 2 Duo T6600 2.2GHz processor, 4GB of RAM, and dedicated ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 graphics with 512MB RAM. It has a 15.6-inch multitouch LCD display with 1366×768 resolution.

As a laptop, the 5738PG is fine. However, considering you’re paying a £200 premium for multi-touch functionality that feels like an afterthought, on a wobbly, non-convertible screen and with an OS that’s still easier to operate using a keyboard and mouse, it’s hard to recommend it.
