While it’s not going to compete with top tier board makers (Asus, Gigabyte, MSI), Intel is coming up with four P55 motherboards, the Extreme Series DP55KG and DP55SB (mATX), and the Media Series DP55WG and DP55WB (mATX).
The four Intel motherboard have support for LGA 1156 processors, four DDR3 memory slots (1600+ MHz for the DP55KG/DP55SB/DP55WG, 1333 MHz for the DP55WB ), Gigabit Ethernet, one PCI-Express x16 and one PCIe x8 slot (only the PCIe x16 for the DP55WB ), integrated audio, and at least six SATA 3.0 Gbps ports.
